SXM Service Issue Notification

Dear Valued Pioneer Customer:
We would like to inform you of the availability of a firmware update only for Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS and AVH-X3600BHS In-dash DVD Receivers sold in the United States and Canada that are used with a SXV200/SXV300 Tuner for SiriusXM. If you own one of these receivers but do not have the SXV200/SXV300 Tuner and do not plan on adding one, you do not need this update and no further action needs to be taken.
This update addresses very rare occurrences where the screen of an AVH-X5600BHS or AVH-X3600BHS receiver to which an SXV200/SXV300 Tuner has been added may freeze. If you have added the tuner or plan on doing so, you should have the update installed.
Obtaining this Firmware Update
Please have your SiriusXM Radio ID available before you call (tune to Channel “0” on SiriusXM and write down the Radio ID #).
To arrange for your receiver to be updated free of charge, please contact Pioneer’s Warranty and Service Department toll free at 1-800-421-1404, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM (Pacific Time), excluding holidays, or online through parts.pioneerelectronics.com/contact.

We would like to inform you of the availability of a free firmware update (version 08.05) for the Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS and AVH-X3600BHS DVD Receivers. This firmware update applies only to AVH-X5600BHS and AVH-X3600BHS units sold in the United States and Canada. This update (version 08.05) contains the following improvement:
Resolves SiriusXM audio dropout issues when the Pioneer DVD Receiver is connected to a SiriusXM SXV200 tuner.
This notice explains how to obtain the free firmware update for the AVH-X5600BHS and AVH-X3600BHS.
HOW TO OBTAIN THE FREE FIRMWARE UPDATE:
1. Download the firmware update files to a computer from the Pioneer website: www.pioneerelectronics.com/downloads
2. Transfer the files to a USB storage device for connection to the Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS and AVH-X3600BHS DVD Receiver.

An issue has been identified when attempting to use the DEH-X6600BS or DEH-X3600S to control a connected SXV200 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner, which is sold separately. In some instances, the tuner is not recognized when connected, resulting in the unavailability of SiriusXM services. Importantly, this does not pose a health or safety risk, or any risk of product damage.
If you have purchased a DEH-X6600BS with a serial number between 0001 and 9751 (MGTM000052UC - MITM009751UC) or a DEH-X3600S with a serial number between 0001 and 6828 (MHTM000029UC - MITM006828UC), please contact Pioneer Customer Service toll free at 1-800-421-1404, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Eastern time (excluding holidays), and transfer to the Warranty & Service Department to arrange for the repair or replacement of your product.

Note: If the DEH-X6600BS serial number ends with #9752 or greater (MITM009752UC) or the DEH-X3600S serial number ends with #6829 or greater (MITM006829UC), or shows a BLUE dot on the serial number sticker (unit or carton), you do not need to do anything.
